The time has come and starting on 1-5 you will see the beginnings of the renovations to Slack Water Marina & Boat Club! We will be removing the old building that is onsite and prepare for the container office that will be put in its place. Next we will start improvements to the NE seawall that is currently falling apart. Currently the tentative plan with the wall is to remove damaged parts and attempt to place another slip and new seawall. We will be working on, in the near future, the power grid. Currently our plan would be to install pedestals behind the new sidewalk and were exploring how to extend those to your physical slips however thats TBD for now as the primary goal is to have on site power for your use. We don't yet know if that will be a flat rate or metered, that is also TBD. We will be placing a camper on a concrete pad in the most NW corner for a rental. This camper is very nice and is 4 seasons and will be available to slip renters for a discounted fee compared to the public (airbnb, verbo etc). We have our fuel tank and it will be ready for summer but were still deciding how were going to do this. Most likely as discussed prior we will have a fuel slip that stays open and will require a membership with the boat club to use for fueling purposes only. Slip renters are already members and you'll be the first to receive access to this. At this time were thinking heavy duty chainlink boxed in with an RFID card reader for access and you'll right down your fuel in the book and be billed bi-weekly. We're searching for a CC system for the fuel tank to run it that way but this is our plan for now. We have our security cameras ready and will be placed soon, before spring. All slip renters will have access to these cameras is our plan. We went with a 5G wireless solar set up to prevent outages from hardline cameras. For now this is a good outline of what we ill be working on, we are entertaining a chainlink fence around the property with gated access to the parking lot to prevent trespassers from fishing, burglary etc.. Hope to see the same faces this year back in the water and I sincerely hope everyone has a beautiful New Year! Welcome to 2026!!

Not much going on here yet Guys/Gals this FB page's primary purpose for now is to link all slip renter's together and give us a space to talk about what going on this year, concerns and etc. This will progress soon just trying to stay diligent and keep up with what we've promised you all. We are extremely happy to have you all on board with Slack Water Marina and were really looking forward to what's to come from this! Any Renters you know that are in the marina that aren't here due to us not being friends on FB (and I'm working on that now) but feel free to add them!

NEWS: Prior owners just now told us that the missing cleats on the docks were stolen when they were assembling the docks originally. We have new cleats ordered and I expect to have them on before the end of this weekend. The weeds quickly got out of control and we will be handling them soon as well and some. new gravel. Power will be turned on in thew next few weeks to come and with us being electricians we will make sure there is a decent access point this year for everyone that may need to use that power. As of now that IS included into your lease but we will not have a dock side pedestal access this year, that will be next year! Gas will be available at the dock before the Fourth of July weekend. For now this is only available to slip renters until were streamline this process however feel free to meet your friends there and help them buy gas until that time has come. That gas will be sold and billed to your membership so please bear that in mind we don't want any confusion, this is a private marina. We will be selling memberships for folks to purchase gas, beer, ice and etc at a rate of $20 per year and as of now all that will get the membership holders is the right to pull into one of the two slips we will leave open and rent for the club to get gas, beer, ice and etc and then they will leave. No "non slip renters" will be allowed to stay in the "membership use slips" for anymore time than needed for their convienece purposes. Its pretty cut and dry but so it is said NO ONE has the right to use your slip unless explicate written permission has been given from the renter to the guest and approved by us, that is final and won't change. This is to protect what you, the "renter" is paying for! We want happy smiling renters😎! We will also be installing cameras in the very near future like ASAP and what is super cool about this is every renter will have access to these cameras for your own protection an use to monitor your boats ETC!

Recap: Amenity Promises for 2026 include, gas available for renters purchase, electric on the premises, security cameras, Garbage and Dock Cleats. The last one is a funny but not so funny and we will have those cleats on ASAP, it is our first priority.

Construction: We will be doing construction as we can for the remainder of the year, I hope for this FaceBook Page to be a portal of information while we all go through the changes of Slack Water Marina and we fully intend on giving everyone ample notice if it may effect the docking-ability at the marina. Its still up in the air for now but there is a chance we will be tearing out part of the Northeast Seawall and digging it back closer to that building to provide enough room for two more slips and a JetSki rental area.

Notes: Firepits are allowed although we do have an area we want used for that (picture will be posted soon and we will purchase a permeant pit for community use soon). Rules regarding that are simple, clean up your mess. Trash left behind will not be acceptable by any renters and may cause you to lose your rights to the entertainment area, we all want to enjoy a sunset without picking up someone else's trash. For the time being feel free to park in the marina when using your boats, hangouts etc but this may change next year we are actively trying to acquire/ purchase the city boat ramp for more space and parking. Dock shuttle should be started up before the 4th of July but no promises and its note worthy the young lady that will be running the dock shuttle (shell take you anywhere to any bar and home free of charge) BUT she works for TIPS. Lets treat her right and keep this hard working young women around this is an aspect of the marina I think we all will enjoy!

I know this is all a lot to take in but I've been eager and waiting to get us all in the same place to talk about this. We look forward to the relationships to be made here and the future of Slack Water and allow my wife and myself to be the first one's to thank each and every one of you for being a part of bringing life back to this community that we all love so much ❤️
