Welcome Mac!!

The Bills added another wide receiver to the room, signing Mac Dalena after releasing CB Daryl Porter Jr. to make room on the roster.

Dalena is 24 years old, listed at 5-foot-10 and 176 pounds, and played his college ball at Fresno State. He originally signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2025, then spent time with the Seahawks practice squad and the Jets before landing in Buffalo.

The production at Fresno State is the part worth watching.

His best season came in 2024, when he led Fresno State with 64 catches for 1,065 yards and 8 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Mountain West honors.

He also had some real splash-play production.

His three longest touchdown catches went for 75, 73 and 69 yards. He had seven games with five or more receptions. He also posted a career-high 235 receiving yards and a touchdown against Sacramento State, becoming the first Fresno State receiver with a 200-yard game since 2020.

At this point of the offseason, this is a competition signing more than anything else.

Dalena isn’t walking into a guaranteed role, but he gives the Bills another young receiver with college production, some vertical ability and a chance to compete through minicamp and training camp. For a team still sorting through the back end of the WR room, these are the types of moves that are worth tracking.

The release of Daryl Porter Jr. also trims another corner from the depth group, which tells you Buffalo wanted to take another look at the receiver competition instead.

A few of us Omaha Bills Mafia got to go to the Spencer Brown Youth camp in his hometown of Lenox, Ia. to volunteer...but they had so many great helpers that we weren't needed, So we got to hang out and take pictures and meet Spencer, Dalton Kinkaid, Tommy Doyle and Ryan Van Demark!! So cool!! Watching how these guys interacted with all of the kids and teach them some football skills was AMAZING! What a great day and made a few new Mafia friends too! GO BILLS!! 💙❤️💙
