Itâs been an exhausting search to find the words of gratitude that I would like to send out to all of the people that have either worked at Sneaky Petes , played in the numerous bands, were customers (now extended family), the many plumbers and electricians that helped keep the âlines flowingâ .. the pool and shuffleboard teams that brought home the gold whether they won or lost and overall anyone that has walked through those doors.
When Sneaky Petes first opened its doors in May of 2011.. I had no way of knowing the many memories that would be created .. from couples meeting and then marrying, the forever friendships that would be formed and of course those individuals that weâve lost over the years - however will remain in our hearts.
Weâve laughed a lot .. ( giving All Day Joe a hard time when he had his earphones on and then find out later that he could hear us the whole time!) or (laughing with Blind Joe for the way he would hand you money .. only for the man to find a tiny white tack on a white floor.. when no one else could see it.) Of course you cannot leave out Tommy Tunes and his âBig Keysâ or Suzy and her down low âflashies.â Most of all the wonderful way that all of us as family would greet each other with a warm hug that seemed to always make the hard days so much more better.
Weâve also cried a lot .. from the disagreements that brought on the bashing and s**t talking - only to find out when the dust settles that it was trivial. We learned that we are all the same people - from the same part of town - with one goal : to find peace of mind with in our lives. It is with my most sincerest apology if the sudden closing hurt or hampered the pool teams and shuffleboard team, or anyone else - it was not my intention and I would have defiantly found a different way if it was possible. As Iâm getting choked up - Iâm not sure how to end this - only to say that this absolutely sucks and I look forward to seeing you all within the next two days (Sunday Feb 25 being the final curtain call,) and catching up with everyone in the future (St. Stans perhaps) :) Thank you all so so much for ALL that youâve done .. it cannot and will not be forgotten!!
