Olmsted Township Neighborhood Has Seen Better Days

OLMSTED TOWNSHIP – City officials are raising concerns about the character of one local neighborhood, citing a surge in tattered, sun-bleached, and "historically questionable" American decorations. From faded flags tangled in trees to barely recognizable patriotic banners, officials fear the display sends the wrong message.

"It's a tough look," said one city spokesperson. "We encourage pride, but at some point, you have to ask: Is this patriotism or performance art?"

However, residents say this issue pales in comparison to their real neighborhood nightmare: the never-ending pond dredging project.

"Honestly, if they think the flags are bad, they should see what’s lurking at the bottom of that pond," one homeowner added.
