Custom rocking chair cushions off to a nursery in Texas!
These cushions were brought to me across state lines & we decided to completely restyle them. I feel like rocking chair cushions from this time period just have the weirdest lumpy stitching that’s unnecessary and… in my opinion, not cute. So we updated these by making the seat cushion a box cushion with a band and a pop of coordinating hot pink velvet cording. The back cushion I added a bottom zipper to, took out the outdated lumpy stitching, used the same coordinating velvet cording as the seat and made the buttons hot pink velvet to match! Instead of snaps I made ties to hold the cushion on the rocker as well since I didn’t have the rocker in the studio and I think tying bows added a feminine touch.

Like an onion or anogre- this piano bench had layyerrsss. She’s old but she’s now gotta whole new lease on life!

After stripping down all the layers to find the base has been upholstered over multiple times, I decided to web the base, replace foam/cotton, and finish out the upholstery closer to the most recent way it had been done. I added gimp around the edge and replaced the nailheads.

Two small cushions & two matching pillows 🪄🧵

When working on smaller projects with a fabric that has a larger print, I think it’s more fun to use different parts of the print rather than matching the same small portion. These 4 pieces show different scenes of this pretty fabric’s design.

We replaced the wood bases, changed out old foam for new, and removed the skirts.

I have been so lucky to work with the incredible clients I have over the years. I have been booked and busy & beyond grateful since I took the leap to do Thready Or Knot full time in 2018.
To be trusted with your furniture has a huge effect on me and I don’t take it lightly.
With that being said, to honor the craftsmanship and attention each project requires I am closing my books and transitioning to a waitlist model. I will be reopening my books in August and booking clients for 2-3 months before closing my books again.

I have hired a project manager to help me get organized and elevate your experience with me! I know I’ve been chaotic for awhile and it’s just not cute anymore. I can’t wait to have a legit timeline for my clients!

If you’d like to work together, inquiries will be added to an active waitlist. You can be added to that waitlist by either filling out the form linked in my bio or emailing me.

If you’ve reached out and we have been in conversation about a piece, I will be honoring that and you’ll remain at the top of the list. All new inquiries will be taken in order from today forward.

Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and love for my craft. Change is an unavoidable part of life that should be celebrated as a form of transformation & every change is an opportunity to create something beautiful.

I look forward to a future of transforming together! 💛🧵
