Blitz 2000 showed up at the end of the 90s and kept the Blitz formula exactly where it belongs, fast, violent, and not worried about realism. Big hits, quick drives, and the kind of plays that would never survive in an actual football game made it a cabinet that people gathered around. It’s built for loud reactions and quick rivalries.

It still plays great because every possession feels like it could turn into something ridiculous. You can be down and come back fast, which keeps everyone locked in. Blitz is one of those games where the trash talk starts the second someone picks a team.
