This years Great Americana Hatch Chile Fest was another that will never be forgotten. This all started over 10 years ago as an idea born out of curiosity for a Chile. (Our first roaster borrowed from our neighbors at Urban Agrarian)
There was so much fun and togetherness all brought about for the love of a Chile. Maybe partially because it only sourced from a little Valley in the desert southwest. Maybe because it’s only grown and comes fresh a couple months out of the year. Maybe because it’s roasted with live fire in tumbling metal baskets that leave the air perfumed with an unmistakable smell. And definitely because it’s wholly unique in flavor and deliciousness.
Thank you to all the chefs and all around cooks who come back every year and those first timers too- this is an event as much as anything.
Thank you to all the eclectic popups who make it thrive.
Thank you Anthem brewing for year in and out making superb Hatch Chile Lager for us. (We have plenty left here to try)
Thank you to our tireless staff and the hardest working volunteers who put their blood sweat (lots of sweat) into making it go- could not do it without you.
And to Hannah, the Chiliest Chile Queen in the land.
And thanks to you- for giving our festival a chance to come together - all for a little Chile from Hatch New Mexico. We shall see you next year.
