DeadFox CiderWerkz We are a collective of folk with an enthusiastic interest in the art of fermentation and the cultural tradition of social barbecue. Hello Family! in Upper Ojai.

We are DeadFox CiderWerkz, and we are a collective of folk with an enthusiasm for the art of fermentation. We have pooled our resources and have the capability to ferment 50+ gallons at a time and have keg storage for 12 Cornelius kegs. We make an abundance of assorted ciders, and are venturing into all grain brewing with 15 gallon, triple barrel setup. We gather on Thursday evenings at The Barn o

n Sisar Cyn Rd. Most every week we Barbecue, Brew, and play a friendly $10 game of Texas Hold'em. We are always looking for new good people to join us in our brewing endeavors. If you have a creative mind, and a desire to learn the art of fermentation, we would be happy to teach you, and welcome you to join our collective. Brewing (particularly all grain) is expensive to get into on your own. We have the equipment, and the desire to share our knowledge. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced brewers and utilize thousands of dollars in equipment. All we ask is that you contribute materials and share your finished product, as we do the same. As a point of reference, a 5 gallon batch of cider can be made for $20-30, and 10 gallons of ale can be made for about $50-65. smaller batches of beer aren't really worth the effort. We generally keg a good portion of each batch, as it's much easier. Then we bottle a few to add to our library, as well as any the brewer wants to take home. We hope you join us and collaborate to create great brews we'll never find in stores!
