The historic Deer Lodge has been serving up the authentic Ojai experience and creating wonderful memories for local residents and visitors to Ojai California continuously for over eight decades. From its humble beginnings as a gas station and grocery store in 1932, to today’s iconic restaurant, bar and live music venue, the Deer Lodge has always been a warm, welcoming refuge for locals and tourist

s alike. Today, the Deer Lodge retains that rich flavor of a lost era while evolving to satisfy the tastes of today’s diner and entertainment seeker. We pride ourselves on casual, yet attentive service, offering the highest quality product available. Our Farm to Table menu highlights the bounty of delicious produce that the Ojai Valley is famous for. We work closely with local farmers to bring the best quality of seasonal fruits and veggies from their farms to your plates. Our bar offers 20 rotating tap handles of the finest craft beer from the west coast. Our wine list features the finest California wines, focusing primarily on the Santa Ynez region. We offer a plethora of spirits ranging from locally distilled craft spirits to the finest imports. By night, the Deer Lodge transitions into an eclectic live music venue showcasing the best of the Ojai Valley’s vast pool of local talent and occasional national acts.

The SLO County Stumblers are an energetic American string band based in California’s Central Coast. The band features fiddler Casy Meikle, guitarist David Baine, banjo player Daniel Bohlman, and banjo builder Jerry James on bass. The band formed in 2018 when Meikle returned to California after several years in Middle Tennessee where he became steeped in the region’s musical traditions, traveling extensively with a variety of Southern string bands and with buckdancer Thomas Maupin. The Stumblers play hard-driving old time fiddle tunes and spirited songs, heavily influenced by the golden-era string bands of the 1920s and 30s. Their performance is filled with humorous stories and banter and is guaranteed to get feet moving across the dance floor.

It’s all happening! This Sunday we introduce our newest event incarnation, Boots, Booze and Bad Decisions Bazaar! It promises to be a day chock full o shenanigans and tomfoolery with some classic hijinks ta boot. We will have music starting at 1pm with the legendary followed by , and the . All the appreciative sons and daughters get all you can drink Meiners oaks tap water and a fun menu with a deer skull you can color! (Crayons not included) Its the least we could do. So roll up.
