Description:
The Dullahan is most frequently seen as a headless rider upon a black steed. Thought female riders have been reported it is most often male in build and is said to be the embodiment of the Celtic God Crom Dubh. It’s primary weapons consist of a sword capable of slicing clear through bone with a single swing and a whip made from the spine of a human.

When not riding upon its steed the Dullahan can be seen pulling a carriage made from the palled worm-chewed skin of the dead. The carriage is adorned with funeral objects and symbols of death. When the Dullahan stops it’s ride while pulling a carriage it will call out someone’s full Name and that person will immediately fall dead upon the spot as their soul is captured inside of the carriage and carried away.

The Dullahan hates to be observed during its work and will often lash out at any who would dare lay eyes upon it for an undue amount of time. Their primary way of doing so is to lash the person eyes out with their whips or for those unlucky souls who lay eyes upon a particularly nasty specimen they will throw a basin of blood at the observer, marking the person as the Dullahans next victim.

Oddly enough it is said that it is impossible to bar a road against a Dullahan. Their natural aura causes all locks and gates to open before them. However, a Dullahan fears the presence of gold and even a gold pin will deter one.
