You’re invited to the Fallen Officer Memorial 💙

Join us in honoring the courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Location: McPherson Campus, 601 SE 25th Ave., Ocala

This solemn event is an opportunity to pay tribute to our local officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Together, we can show our gratitude and respect for the sacrifices made by our fallen officers and support their loved ones.

NEVER FORGOTTEN: Today marks 11 years since we lost someone who touched the lives of so many. Officer Jared Forsyth, a beloved member of the Ocala Police Department, tragically lost his life in the line of duty while participating in fi****ms training.

During the training, a firearm was accidentally discharged and struck Officer Forsyth. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he sadly passed away from his injuries. He was 33 years old.

Jared joined the Ocala Police Department in 2012 and he loved spending time with those he cherished most. He is greatly missed.

Today, we remember Jared’s bravery and sacrifice to keep our community safe. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
