RECORD COLLECTORS!
It is time for me to “thin the herd” (and the unheard) - I am selling pieces from my collection. 3000-4000 LPs, mostly acquired new in the 1980s/90’s when I was in the record business at Tower/ City Hall Dist./ Down Home Music. Mostly mint/ near mint/ VG+, and played once, or not at all.
Collection is very strong in:
- jazz (modern/ 60’s-70’s avant-garde)
- 50’s-60’s instrumental (organ groups/ R&B sax honkers/ garage rock)
- blues (78 reissues/ Delta/ 50’s-60’s Chicago blues)
- world music (esp. African folk and pop/ Greek/ E. European/ Balkan/ Indian/ Tibetan/ Asian/ Middle Eastern)
- 70’s-80’s rock/ prog rock/ guitar heroes
and “Oddball” (beatnik/ spoken word/ soundtrack/ wierdos)
These are primarily collector-quality records, not garage sale finds. Prices start at $10 per disc for mint/ near mint/ VG+, but there will be a “dollar bin” for used/ played/ worn cover stuff that I got for a dollar or less.
Also CDs, including duplicate copies of discs that I have recorded at my studio over the last 40 years. Brand new CDs of Club Foot Orch./ Orch. Nostalgico/ Past-Present-Future/ Crying Time/ Bobby Black and more.
