What a night at Firewater!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Firewater Bourbon Dinner. From the first pour to the final course, it was an evening filled with incredible bourbon, great food, and even better company.

A special thank you to our speaker, John Moore, for sharing his knowledge and stories with us throughout the evening, and to our friends from Brown-Forman and Breakthru Beverage for being part of such a memorable night.

To Chef Jason Shenkle, thank you for an amazing meal and for creating a menu worthy of the bourbon in our glasses.

And a very special thank you to our staff and amazing Bar Manager, Kristie Alexander, the driving force behind Firewater’s spirits program. Her passion, knowledge, and countless hours behind the scenes are a huge part of what makes this dinner, and our entire spirits program, what it is.

Most of all, thank you to every guest who joined us at the table. We’re grateful you chose to spend the evening with us and be part of a tradition we look forward to every year... Good bourbon, good food, and even better company.

We're getting a little later start today due to an unexpected equipment issue. We'll be opening at 12 PM and don't forget it's TIKI NIGHT starting at 4pm and Pan Jammin kicks off at 6pm!!

Thanks for your patience while we get everything fired up. We’ll see you at noon for lunch, cocktails, and lake time.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our friend and fellow Firewater bartender, Mike.

Mike was so much more than a bartender behind our bar. He was a coworker who became a friend, a familiar face we counted on, and part of so many memories made here the last few years. Some people become part of a place in a way that’s hard to put into words. Mike was one of those people. We’ll remember the shifts together, the laughs behind the bar (and beyond it), the conversations, the late nights, and all those little moments in between that mean so much more now.

These photos and videos capture just a few of the memories we were lucky enough to share with him.

Our hearts are with Mike’s family, friends, coworkers, and everyone who knew and loved him.

The bar won’t feel quite the same without you, Mike. You’ll be deeply missed, and you’ll always be part of Firewater.
