One bittersweet show this week:

One of my favorite places to play is closing 😞 However, i am honored to say that I get to be the last person to perform there and it’s going to be with my very good friend Libby Eddy!

Wow! We love you all!! Here are your tasty treats for this week! Also, the time change and warm weather mean I’m going to go for a bike ride this evening at 5:30 if anyone is interested!!

It is with heavy hearts that Michelle and I must announce that we will be closing The Vagabond Taproom at the end of March. This decision has not been come upon lightly and we understand the sadness this announcement will cause in our community and among our friends and “family.”

Shoofly Java will be transitioning to new ownership, and will remain open with the same operating schedule, though hours may change. Tati will be there to brighten your morning with her treats and coffee drinks that you’ve grown to love.

You all are something we never really planned for when we started this little project. Of course, we thought about you in the business sense and the need for customers—what we didn’t think about was the depth of the relationships we would build with so many of you. Of all the things that we can count as accomplishments over the years, the friendships we have built are easily the most meaningful and inspiring. We cannot thank you enough for letting us into your lives.

We don’t suspect that this will be the end of the line for the space where Vagabond sits, but will be the end of our stewardship of it. Whatever comes next, be it something similar or completely new, we hope you embrace it with the same love that you embraced us.

In the meantime, Chef Steph and the Vagabond Crew will be pulling out all the stops this month with some of our crowd favorite food dishes, as well as several special events. We would like to invite you to drop by and remember your favorite Vagabond moment over a farewell pint as we celebrate the good times we’ve had over the past five years.
