👑 POLITICAL
Not famous. Not followed by millions(or even thousands 😂). Still not neutral. I don’t understand the luxury of pretending policies don’t affect my business or my community. Neutrality sounds safe. It usually just protects the status quo.
I run a business, yeah but I also live in the real world. Tag a loud business!

👑 COLLABORATIVE
Small businesses don’t fail because of each other. We fail when we try to survive alone. I will choose collaboration over competition every time because it’s rarely us vs. the shop down the street. It’s us vs. corporations and franchise machines built to outspend and outlast us.

👑 FIRM
As a female business owner, I’m expected to be bubbly. Cushion my emails. Add exclamation points. Soften every boundary. I really value the men in the industry who treat me like an equal because it is still not the standard.

I can be warm, I can be exact and both are leadership.

Supporting local doesn’t have to mean buying the most expensive cut of meat every time. It can be as small as grabbing a couple items from the cooler or shelves. One of our absolute favorites? Their smoked whitefish spread. Truly out of this world.

Brad, Eric, and their team are some of the most genuine, hardworking people we know. They literally walk deliveries over to guests at Beer Shop, and it’s hands-down some of the best lunch you’ll find, made by the same people who deliver it. AND it arrives hot every single time.

Taxes are 🍌🍌🍌. Yes, it would probably be easier in a cheaper neighborhood. But we love this community too much to leave it so we fight through it.

Let’s protect the businesses that make this place feel like home!

Founded by OPRF alum - this fast moving, Black owned, locally owned brewery has solidified a location on Chicago’s Westside. They continue to be one of the fastest moving breweries at our shop, and for a good reason(s). 🍻 Everything they do from the branding to the community work to the products themselves are top notch.
