We are looking for retail sales help in Armonk at Badass Bagels. Here are the deets:

Ideally someone who can work 2 to 3 shifts a week the hours would be 7:30 AM until 1:30 PM. The hours may be flexible during one of those shifts meaning the shift could start a little bit later or end a bit earlier.

Our shop is set up mostly selling the sourdough bagels (no for prep required) but there’s a whole slew of other stuff so it’s almost like a little grocery. It’s super fun and easy and a very social experience as we get shoppers from all the surrounding towns and you’ll start to see the same people every week and get to know the customers. Our mission is farm-to-bagel as we support local farms and incorporate what is growing in CT and NYS into our recipes.

There is room for growth in this position, as we are seeking some management roles within our company. This is a great way to get to know the product and our general vibe.

Are you locavore, farm supporter, food-obsessed kind of person? We are hiring a forward facing (FOH) exceptional person who can play an important role in our company. The position includes selling and merchandising our brand at farmers markets and at our retail location, and in addition, the candidate will play a minor roll within our production facility (easy food prep, about 6-8 hours a week).

Our mission is to support the local food system! We support the local food community by sourcing produce, fish, and pasture raised meats from local and regional farms. In addition, we also support other local artisans and businesses who share our values. We want to make an impact on our community and the environment and we consider our choice of staff to be of the utmost importance.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with and able to:

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Walk and/or stand for several hours at a time
Work in all weather conditions, e.g. heat, cold, rain, sun, wind, snow
Set up and break down a tent and display, market signage, and any other equipment as needed
Speak with customers and build relationships, grow the brand
Drive a company vehicle (SUV), have a US drivers license and a clean driving record

We are seeking candidates who are available to start immediately. Training will be provided.

This is an ideal position for someone with retail, management, customer service, or other leadership experience, who is interested in learning about and contributing to the local food system. You should be friendly and happy to talk to all kinds of people, take initiative, willing to do some physical work, able to communicate clearly and with confidence to colleagues, vendors and customers in the marketplace, be organized and aware of the importance of good record keeping and reporting.

This is a 20+ hour a week job, including one or two weekend days (usually not both !)

★ Organic oven roasted Whole Chicken ★ is on the not-bagel menu on Thursdays, every week. Please pre-order these and we’ll have this ready for you to enjoy. We have added an hour onto our pick up window so that you can grab your bagels, your spreads, your smoked fish, and any other items you want to try including our home suppers.

The oven roasted chickens will be split in half, tender and crispy. You can order it by the half or whole, and you can choose your finishing sauce. Anyone for bacon-jam pan sauce? Or maybe cherries jubilee featuring .up.a.storm cherry jam? (The bacon jam should really be used as a bath bomb it’s got that smokey and sweet flavor profile)

Thursday hours are 2p-5p. Here are some of the supper offerings, soups are V and GF.
