The Mitten Brewing Company was founded in November 2012 by lifelong friends Chris Andrus and Max Trierweiler. With locations in Grand Rapids and Northport, The Mitten is a vintage baseball-themed Michigan microbrewery with a focus on community involvement and charitable giving. Andrus and Trierweiler were dedicated homebrewers who saw an opportunity to broaden the state’s craft beer scene and also have an impact on the community at large.

Hey friends! We all hope you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday! That being said...no doubt you're aware that we had a nasty ice storm last night. We're going to be open today, noon to 9, but seriously, as much as we want to see you, we'd rather you stayed home and safe until they get the roads in better shape. But, if you're out and about, you know where to find us!

The holidays are knocking on the door, and we've got some special hours to account for them!
Don't forget that Santa (OMG , I know him!!!) will be showing up on our patio on Christmas Eve at 6pm, and the following week will be our annual "Anchor Drop Extravaganza"!

We'll be open today (Sunday, 12/21) and tomorrow (Monday 12/22) from noon to 8 for those last minute gifts for the beer lover in your life, or if you just need or want to get out of the house and have a pint!

What an exciting day! Your favorite pint slinging runner is running the Chicago Marathon today, and yesterday we won another gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival with Mr. Oktoberfest!

Congratulations to our brew team on a well deserved gold medal, and congratulations to Tricia, we know you'll do great!

Come grab a pint of the gold medal winner while we've still got some, and grab a pizza from The Big Hot Woody - North End Eatery this afternoon!
