CLOSED PERMANENTLY. I'm sorry to say that I've been informed by the owners of Shanks LLC that with the passing of Wayne Burch, they'll be unable to reopen and the location on 43 is closed. The staff of Shanks wants to express their appreciation to the community, customers and vendors that came out to support them in December on the hopes that they'd be able to make it through. We thank you; and please, if anyone knows of any openings for wait, kitchen, prep or restaurant management, the staff of Shanks are currently looking for employment and any opportunity would help. YES! We are OPEN! After a respectful time closed in memory of Wayne Burch we've come together as the Shanks family and decided that we will remain open. Wayne had a dream and a lot of hope for our little spot on 43 N. and we plan on keeping that dream alive and push forward. So, we invite you to come out tonight to enjoy a great meal and surrounded by family - the Shanks family.

Shanks Steak & Catfish

Hard to imagine it’s only been 4 weeks... Well if you count COVID, it’s more like 10 months and 4 weeks given we were shut down, building empty, power bill up and revenue down..but we’re here now, and that’s what counts.

Now, after a rocky start, we’re a bustling staff of 20+ grilling up some of the best steak you’ve even eaten, a shrimp-n-grits you’d have to drive to Nawln’s to do better, and a staff as friendly and talented as you could hope to find anywhere.

Sure the building used to be a gas station, and the parking could be better, but we’re not putting out some carbon-copy, clone of a steak house you find on any block. We’re creating new flavors of food, mixing up new brews to muse, and creating culinary art for those ready for adventure.

So come on in for a fill-up, and stay for the story. Wayne is more than happy to talk and tell you the tale of Shanks; so, feel free to ask for him on your next visit.
