From Laura: Hello friends, I’ve been hosting Bishop’s Lounge Comedy open mic on Sunday nights since June 2014, and after more than 4 years I think it’s time for me to graduate and pass the torch. It’s been a really wonderful 4 years with Nicole at the bar and Lee and Johnnie doing karaoke after, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all the amazing comics and audience members who’ve come out to support live comedy in western MA over the years, so thank you all for showing up and making it happen. Since the NFL sucks and I have an ego to rival Tom Brady, I have scheduled my last night on Superbowl Sunday so you won’t forget when it is. Come out and celebrate one last night of jokes with me, my graduation ceremony, with a final joke contest and mystery prize (aka item from my house that no longer sparks joy) before Sunday night comedy is officially taken into the highly capable hands of Kim DeShields (aka Boney) and Monk Danger. Graduation gifts and cards are welcome.
