Thursday, I was sweeping, thinking about a couple of regulars who are usually here around this same time every year. I was wondering if they had left, and if they’re okay.

When I still had the broom in my hand, they came in. They were leaving on Saturday, so they said they’d come in again tomorrow (Friday).

They came in, and melted my heart. Peggy had a gift for me, for a new friendship. I am very grateful for this sweet gesture, and for making new friends. I can’t wait until this time next year so I can see them again.

Thank you for being so lovely, Peggy and Bob.

I see a LOT of people staying at the Redington Ambassador and Ram Sea.

One of the best and hardest parts about being on the beach is how I meet these lovely people and then they’re gone in a week or two. But then I get to meet more lovely people who I can see again next year.

When 2 lovely people from Chicago came into the bar last week, they were enjoying their coffee and talking about enjoying the sunshine and beach, when I realized.

“Guys, are you on facebook?” I asked

To which they responded, “Yes.”

“There are 2 of you and we’re at 498,” I said as I pointed to the counter above our display fridge.

Cooper’s whole face lit up!

So now, they will forever be number 499 and 500.
