This is historic.

Today I found an old postcard of Black Mountain Lodge in North Creek, New York.

Seeing the bright blue pool and the lodge standing quietly in the mountains reminded me that this place has welcomed people for many years — long before we arrived, and long after we are gone. So many families must have laughed, rested, and found peace here.

Our journey here has not always been easy, but this little discovery felt like a gentle reminder: we are only caretakers for a season. We simply try to keep a kind heart, treat others with love, and trust God to do the rest.

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.”
