My neighbor has been stealing my packages for months.

I couldn’t prove it because somehow they always disappeared right before my camera started recording.

So last week I ordered a new laptop and purposely left the box sitting outside while I went to work.

When I came home, it was gone.

I called the police.

My neighbor came outside screaming that I was harassing her and that she had NEVER touched anything on my porch.

Cool.

I showed the officer my receipt.

Then I showed him the AirTag I had hidden inside the box.

It was showing inside her apartment.

She immediately started crying.

The officer went inside and came back out with my box…

plus about 20 other packages with different names on them.

I thought she was just a thief.

Until the officer opened one addressed to a woman who lived THREE STATES AWAY.

Inside were credit cards, a driver’s license and checks.

My neighbor wasn’t stealing packages.

She was stealing identities.

But here's the part that fu**ed ME up.

The officer asked for my ID to make the report.

He looked at it.

Looked back at one of the envelopes.

Then asked me:

“Ma’am… do you know why she has mail in YOUR name from 2019?”

I moved here in 2024.

I’ve been paying my best friend $800 a month to babysit my daughter while I work. She doesn’t have a job, so I thought I was helping both of us.

A few weeks ago my daughter started calling her house “Daddy’s other house.”

I thought she was confused.

Then she told me Daddy comes over there sometimes.

I still didn’t say anything.

I started telling my best friend I was working late on nights I was actually off.

Last Friday I dropped my daughter off and waited down the street.

Twenty minutes later, my husband pulled up.

I wanted to beat BOTH their asses.

Instead, I went home and acted normal.

Yesterday my best friend called me crying.

She’s pregnant.

She said the father blocked her and she didn't know what she was going to do.

So I comforted her.

Told her everything would be okay.

Even offered to go to her first appointment with her.

She has no idea I already know who the father ISN’T.

And that’s my husband’s.

He had a vasectomy four years ago after our daughter was born.

Apparently she told him she was pregnant and he panicked and blocked her.

But when she called ME crying, she conveniently left out the part about the “father” being my husband.

So I invited her over for dinner Sunday because she “shouldn’t be alone right now.”

She said yes.

My husband doesn't know she's coming.

She doesn't know I know about them.

And neither one knows I have a copy of his vasectomy paperwork sitting in my purse.

So after we eat, I’m putting it right on the table.

Then I have TWO questions:

How long have y’all been fu***ng behind my back?

And if my husband can’t get you pregnant… who tf did?

Dinner is at 6.

Almost a year ago I found out my boyfriend had been cheating on me, so I decided to fake an entire engagement and wedding… just to waste his time, money, and embarrass him in front of everybody who thought he was getting married.

I started talking about how I wanted a “small, intimate wedding,” acting excited about our future, showing him rings, venues, dresses… the whole nine. His family got involved, everybody was excited, and before long they were helping plan and spending money.

This man really thought he had finally secured his future with me.

His mama was picking colors. His cousins were talking about bridesmaid dresses. We had people taking off work, making travel plans, buying outfits, sending money, ALL OF IT.

And I just kept smiling like, “Awww, I can't wait to marry you.”

Then came the engagement party.

Everybody showed up dressed up, congratulating us, taking pictures, drinking champagne…

I got up in front of everybody and said:

“Thank y'all for coming. I just wanted to make one thing very clear…

I'M NOT GETTING MARRIED.

I only planned this entire thing because I wanted him and everybody who helped him play in my face to understand exactly how it feels to be made a fool of.

You played with a loyal woman.

Unfortunately for you, I had time, creativity, and access to a Pinterest account.

The relationship ended that night.

The wedding never existed.

But the lesson? PRICELESS.
