The FIFA World Cup 2026 was such an amazing experience. The bar was up and down, from dead one minute to packed with Norwegians the next. We had a group from Germany come in and take over the bar with their flags, singing and dancing til closing, the hotties from Scotland who know how to sweet talk the ladies and finish a keg of Modelo, the Brazilians ate endless Hudson Burgers topped with BBQ pork! Croatia, England, Ecuador, London, France, Argentina, Columbia, Spain, even a few from Morocco. I feel so blessed to have been able to experience this as a bar owner, especially after COVID and the flood from Hurricane IDA. The reporters from Romania that have been here since day one for the NY Knicks Game Finals covering all the MetLife games spent so much time with me they felt like family. I’m sad to see them go, but happy to be able to take a couple days off soon! Until then, the flame 🔥 grill is still on and the beers are ice cold!
