Update: we are in Corvallis, Oregon, at the Hotel Corvallis to visit the old Beer Trailer that has been turned into the hotel check in desk/snack shack! We even got to peek inside and check it out.

Laurie Ann and I have been feverishly transforming a space here in downtown North Bend, Oregon in anticipation of our opening this Saturday! The Art Cellar Oregon is going to have both our artist creations along with a select group of other artisans on display. We have a lot of ideas and things we would like to do! Hey Campers! If you are still with us ‘till now, Laurie Ann and I have big news. We have signed a lease on a retail space here in North Bend Oregon.
We are calling it the Art Cellar Oregon. We have traded beer slinging for art. We will have my hand drawn greeting cards and LA’s polymer jewelry and a whole bunch of other stuff from us and the art community.
We will also have classes and events. Its gonna be fun! We hope to be open soon so go over to our page and check it out.

Hey fellow Happy Campers! Today marked the official end of our Camp Taps saga. Our little trailer was sold to a great lady who we think will do great things with it. It is a bittersweet day for Laurie Ann and I but it brought us so much good memories of those days (some a little crazier than others!) in the parking lot 1889 Salvage Co. We loved our time there. But, the experience we had there is now bringing us to begin a new, albeit a bit different, opportunity down here in North Bend (its hooked to Coos Bay) that we are really excited about but we dont quite want to spill the beans about yet. Rest assured you will be hearing about the new endeavor soon! We hope everyone of our old camp friends are doing well! We will keep you posted!

Hey Happy Campers! With a heavy heart we have to report that we were unable to get liquor liability insurance until it was just too late for this season, so we are shutting it down again for the remainder of ‘23. Our hope is to hit it early ‘24 and get this thing going for a full season next year. If not, we will give up hope and throw in the towel for good. All we wanted to do was recreate a version of our place we had back in Spokane, it was special to us. Maybe it’s just not to be? We shall see. Enjoy your summer and do some camping for us!

Hey happy campers!
Recap time.
We had got to the very last step before we could get our liquor license so we could start up here on the Oregon coast and as (our) luck would have it, we hit a very big snag that we never saw coming.

So the rumor is, Oregon has “tightened up” it’s insurance stance on writing liquor liability insurance and it seems no one wants to write us up a policy.

We have been searching for weeks with no takers. It’s super disappointing and with all the bars and restaurants opening and closing in Oregon, I don’t understand why our tiny little beer bar is such a risk.

Anyway that’s where we are at. We may have to give up on our little dream for good.

After months on the run, former residents of Camp Taps Beer Truck, Bob and Doug McKenzie, are back in their rightful spots guarding the walk in beer cooler! Whereabouts of where they have been in the interim have been sketchy. Thank you for the tips that came from all points, including the Great White North. Cheers!

We have been feverishly working on our subtle revamping of southern Oregons FIRST EVER beer trailer! We are just in the OLCC waiting line to get to start offering the south coasts best assortment of great local craft beers on tap for the folks rolling through North Bend/Coos Bay this spring and summer. We are so stoked! Come camping with us!

It’s the small victories, right? I am not a plumber, but was thrust into the job by necessity (like about 90% of everything that has been done on the trailer). The trailer now has a pressurized, hot water hand wash sink! After way to much thinking and trips to the hardware store, we are now Oregon compliant on being able to wash our hands acceptably. That is the original 1969 sink basin.
