💕 15 Years of Love, Laughter & Happily Ever After! 💍🥂

What a beautiful celebration of love! We had the pleasure of catering Trae & Elisha's 15th wedding anniversary vow renewal at the stunning Society 57 in downtown Aurora! ❤️

Guests kicked off the celebration with a delicious cocktail hour spread featuring pretzel bites, goat cheese bruschetta, smoked chicken sliders, jerk chicken skewers, smoked gouda mac & cheese cups, margherita flatbread, and BBQ meatballs! 🤤

Then it was time for dinner, and we brought out the Smoked Meat Taco Bar! 🌮🔥 Guests enjoyed brisket, smoked chicken, grilled veggies, black beans, elote corn, Mexican rice, and all the taco fixings!

Once dinner wrapped up, the dance floor took over, and what a PARTY it was! 💃🕺 From heartfelt vows to delicious food and a night full of dancing, it was truly a celebration to remember!

Trae & Elisha, thank you so much for allowing Rent A Chef to be part of such a special milestone! Here's to 15 incredible years and many more filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories! ❤️🥂

Okay, okay… we know. We’ve been MIA. 😂
We didn’t ghost y’all, we’ve just been buried in brisket and booked & busy! 🔥🍖💨
This summer had Rent A Chef ALL OVER the place. Car shows, Kite Fest, corporate luncheons, football tournaments, weddings, private events… if you saw smoke somewhere in the Fox Valley, there’s a decent chance it was Black Betty. 😂
Somewhere between loading the trailer, firing up the smoker, feeding crowds and doing it all over again the next day, posting on social media fell waaaaay down the list. 🤦‍♀️
But we have SO much to catch you up on! Summer BBQ season was one for the books, and we’re finally coming up for air. ❤️
We’re still here. We’re still cooking. And apparently we have about 87 posts to catch up on. 😂

LAST CALL FOR DANCING WITH THE LOCAL STARS TICKETS! 💃🕺

We’re just ONE WEEK away from taking over the Arcada Theatre on October 7, so before the big night, we have two more stars to introduce…the ones holding the microphones! 🎤

Meet your emcees, Matt & Heather Rainey of Rent A Chef!

What started as a part-time passion project turned into a thriving business when Matt & Heather took the leap in 2020, leaving their corporate careers behind. Since then, they’ve brought great food, big personalities, and plenty of fun to hundreds of celebrations and events throughout our community.

Now they’re bringing that energy to the Arcada stage, and we can’t wait to see what this dynamic duo has in store!

Haven’t grabbed your tickets yet?

Join us October 7 for an unforgettable night of local stars, big moves, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of heart, all supporting CASA Kane County and our mission to advocate for children in foster care.

Ticket sales end at Midnight tonight, so buy your ticket now! https://secure.qgiv.com/event/dwtls/

🪩🎤 WELL… THIS ESCALATED QUICKLY! 😂

A while back, Heather saw that CASA Kane County was looking for local business owners to compete in their first-ever Dancing with the Local Stars fundraiser.
Naturally, she thought, Chef Matt should absolutely do this.

So she submitted his name. 😂

Somehow, that nomination took a little turn…and instead of Matt putting on his dancing shoes...

CASA asked BOTH of us to take the stage as the EMCEES for the night! 😳🎤

So on October 7th, Heather & Chef Matt will be trading the kitchen, smoker and catering events for the stage at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles to host:

CASA Kane County’s Dancing with the Local Stars!

CASA Kane County does incredible work in our community, providing trained volunteer advocates for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are navigating the court system. This entire night is about bringing our community together, having a LOT of fun, and raising money to support that important mission. ❤️

And if you know the two of us, you probably already know how this partnership is going to work…
Heather will have the script, know what’s supposed to happen next, and attempt to keep everything on track.
Chef Matt will have a microphone.

So really, anything could happen. 😂😂

We are SO excited…and definitely a little nervous! Hundreds of people, the Arcada stage, microphones, lights…no pressure! 😅 But we are incredibly honored that CASA trusted us to be part of such a special night.

And we have exciting news for our friends, family, clients and followers who can't be there in person:

📺 THE EVENT WILL BE LIVE STREAMED!

So you’ll be able to watch us from home, cheer on the dancers, support CASA and witness firsthand whether Heather successfully keeps Chef Matt under control. 😂 We’ll share the livestream information as soon as we have it!

October 7th is coming up QUICK, and the nerves are officially starting to kick in…but so is the excitement. 🪩💃🎤

From nominating Matt to dance ➡️ to somehow BOTH ending up on the Arcada stage…
Here we go! ❤️
