Here at Pelon's, we specialize in California style Mexican food, serving up the best fish and shrimp tacos, burritos and so much more in all of Hampton Roads! We are a high volume, fast paced, counter service restaurant with many opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. We are a family owned business looking for long term team members that want to succeed in the restaurant business.

Responsibility of line cooks

-Ensure quality and consistency of food.

-Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.

-Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.

-Report to the any kitchen manager and follow instructions.

-Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards and be kept clean.

-Clean prep areas and insure food items are properly stocked.

-Stock inventory and supplies.

-Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

Cooks will complete prep during the day shifts, keep our kitchen and equipment clean, and occasionally help out in the dish pit, if needed. Experience is preferred. Pay starting at $16/hr and up based on experience and availability. We can work with your busy schedule and have full or part time positions available. Health insurance, paid time off, etc...are available to full time, long term employees. Just one more reason people that work here don't want to leave! Come join our family!
