We are beyond honored to announce that Niwot Tavern has been recognized in the 2026 CommunityVotes Longmont awards with multiple top honors, including several Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards across a variety of categories.

To say we’re humbled would be an understatement.

These awards are not just a reflection of our food or our building—they are a reflection of the incredible people who make Niwot Tavern what it is every day. Our staff works hard, cares deeply, and shows up for this community with heart, dedication, and genuine hospitality.

To our guests, friends, families, neighbors, friends, regulars, and supporters: thank you for every vote, every visit, every recommendation, and every opportunity to serve you.🫶🏾

From surviving a kitchen fire, navigating COVID, supporting our local community, and continuing to grow together, this journey has never been something we’ve done alone. These awards belong to all of us.

❤️Over the last several months, we’ve quietly been stocking and maintaining this little pantry at the Tavern because we know that sometimes people just need a little help. No questions asked. Just “take what you need.”

Recently, we announced that we would have to close it because continuing to keep it stocked on our own was becoming difficult.

Then something incredible happened.✨

Ms. Cavanaugh’s 2nd grade class at niwotelementary Niwot Elementary School, honoring her retirement after 30+ years of shaping young lives, raised and donated $600 to help keep these shelves full for our community. 💫

Today, because of them — and because of every single person who has donated, supported, shared, stocked, or simply cared — these shelves are full again.🫶🏾

To this class: thank you for reminding all of us what kindness looks like. ❤️
To Ms. Cavanaugh: what a legacy to leave behind.
And to our community: thank you for continuing to show up for one another when it matters most.🥺

We may not be able to solve every struggle people are facing right now, but together we can make sure someone feels seen, fed, and supported.

Please continue to take what you need — and if you’re able, pass the kindness along someday.
