There are nights in sports that end with a champion.

And then… there are nights that become legend.

On a rain-soaked September evening in Niles, two teams entered the bocce courts chasing the same prize.

Merlo Insurance.
Bocce Crew.

An entire summer of wins, losses, close calls and playoff battles had brought them here.

One final night.
One championship.
Best two out of three.

🟢🔴 And then the battle began.

Point for point.

Shot for shot.

Neither side willing to surrender.

The tension grew. The clouds gathered. And eventually, even the skies could hold back no longer.

The rain came.

And when Mother Nature finally brought the championship to a halt, the scoreboard stood frozen:

BOCCE CREW 8.

A championship deadlocked.

No winner.

No loser.

Just two teams standing exactly where they had fought all summer to be…

at the top.

Registration is NOW OPEN for the SOI Niles Fall Mixed Bocce League! Grab your team and get ready for another great season on the courts!

💰 $150 per team
📅 Season begins: Tuesday, September 8
🏁 Regular season ends: Thursday, October 15
🏆 Playoffs: October 19–29

⏰ Nightly Game Times:
• Game 1 — 5:30 PM
