Second Sin Brewing - Newtown

Second Sin Brewing - Newtown Don’t get satisfied. It’s a simple phrase that embodies our mission to always work hard, want more, and be better.

It’s not enough to open a brewery and create a few good beers. We want to experiment, improve, and give our customers something new and delicious to look forward to every time they stop in. We draw our inspiration from many of the classic brewing centers across Europe, as well as our colleagues in the USA. The meticulous lagers of Germany, the balanced ales and stouts of the UK, and the inventive

spirit of the brewers of Belgium have all been formative to the way we think about and brew beer. But America is a melting pot of cultures, and so too is American brewing. As important as those classics styles are, so is the willingness to throw it all out the window and try something new. This, to us, embodies American craft brewing: taking classic techniques and combining them in new ways to create something that will amaze you. We want to teach you everything we know about craft beer, so you can demand more from what you drink. We hope to share our interpretations of the classics styles you know and love, offering new flavor profiles for you each time you come to visit us!

Three new beers are dropping this week, and today we’re shining a spotlight on Saturday’s release:

🇺🇸 250 IPA 🇺🇸
6.4% American IPA

In honor of America’s Semiquincentennial, we decided to pay homage to one of the greatest American beer styles of all time. Brewed with American malt, American yeast, and 100% American-grown Centennial hops, 250 IPA is a celebration of the flavors that helped define craft beer.

We’ll have more details on Friday’s two releases tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Also, tonight marks our last Wednesday open until after Labor Day as we shift into our summer hours schedule. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to stop by, this is it.

Open today from 4–9 PM.

Finally, the day that everyone has been waiting for... Shanday is finally upon us! When we open at noon we’ll have the original on draft and in 4 packs, with 3 (!) variants, some classic pairings, some a little weird. Regardless, we think you’ll enjoy them all!

There is only one keg of each of the variants so make sure to get there early if you’ve got your eye on a particular flavor. We can also fill Crowlers with any of them, as well.
