OG story: On a summer Sunday in 2010, I was leaving my parents house to go to work, when I realized I was low on gas.

I stopped at the UDF in Bellevue, and as I waited in line, I started to notice an air of frenetic energy in the place. People were buzzing around and I could sense something special was going on here.

It was in that moment that I realized the very tan man in front of me was not wearing a shirt. He was also holding two cases of Milwaukee's Best B**r. The clerk asked for his ID (as is the policy now for any alcohol purchase at UDF).

The gentleman became upset-he retorted, "You gonna card ME, ON EBN DAY?!"

I had forgot today was "Newport Christmas," AKA "EBN Day", and on this occasion, there are no real rules in NKY.

"I got 6 kids in the Jeep! I don't got no time to look for no damn ID," he exclaimed.

I looked to the parking lot and, indeed, the man was as honest as they come. There were six kids in the back of his JEEP, many without shirts as well. In fact, the Jeep itself did not even have a top.

We're bagging the essence of the lunatic fringe and letting you drink it raw through a straw.
