With incredibly heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Dale, the heart and soul of Buckhorn Bar and Grill.

To so many of you, Dale was more than the man behind the bar. He was a friend, a listener, a helping hand, and someone who genuinely cared about every person who walked through the doors. If you needed help, Dale would do whatever he could to be there for you. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and like they were part of the Buckhorn family.

Dale was a proud Navy veteran, an avid hunter, and a man who gave so much of himself to the people around him. His kindness, generosity, humor, and loving spirit touched countless lives.

The Buckhorn was never just a bar and grill. Because of Dale, it became a place where people gathered, shared stories, celebrated good times, leaned on one another during hard times, and felt like they belonged. The memories made there will forever carry a piece of Dale with them.

Today, our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to a truly special man. We know that many of you are grieving alongside us, because Dale meant so much to many of you.

Please keep Dale’s two boys, his family, his friends, and everyone who loved him in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this tremendous loss.

Dale, thank you for every helping hand, every conversation, every laugh, and everything you ever taught me. You will be deeply missed, but you will live on forever in all of us.

Rest peacefully, Dale. You were loved more than words could ever say.

How about an image we don't get to see every ? On the sixth day of September each year we recognize the birth of Sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski and the death of Lakota Leader Crazy Horse. This past September 6th the Mountain Crew lit up the Sculpture, which was breathtaking on its own, but there was also a Black Hills storm brewing in the distance and we just happened to catch a bit of that show as well!

We had one of our amazing groups from Missouri in today and they’re sending lots of love and healing thoughts Dales way.

For those of you that don’t know, Dale is back in the Hospital and he could really use all the love and prayers. Please don’t overwhelm him with messages because he’s not going to answer! Only because he doesn’t know how! He’s doing good tho the Nurse says but he’s fighting an infection in his blood, a blood clot in his lung, and pneumonia. Prayers are appreciated and if anyone in the Casper area would like to visit him I’m sure he would absolutely love that. Thank you all for your love and support and we can’t wait to have Dale home again
