The NYC South Asian Comedy Festival brings you the ultimate South Asian comedy showdown: India vs. Pakistan vs. Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka.

Hosted by Divya Gunasekaran, the battle features Akash Bajpai, John Ajodah, Ali Mehedi, and Farooq Hussain, with Adam Mamawala joining as a special guest.

🥊 How It Works

This isn’t a regular stand-up show. It’s a comedy competition.

The comedians go head-to-head in a series of short roast rounds, representing their respective countries. They’ll fire off jokes, comebacks, and personal roasts while trying to outwit—and out-laugh—their opponent.

And you are part of the judging panel.

🔥 The audience votes after every round.
🔥 Two judges will also score the battle.
🔥 If the judges split their decision, the audience becomes the tiebreaker.
🔥 The final winner takes the crown—and earns the microphone for a full headline set.

Expect jokes about culture, food, accents, cricket, family, dating, immigration, stereotypes, diaspora life—and whatever else the comedians are brave enough to bring to the stage.

It’s all in good fun. The countries are competing. The comedians are the targets.

Come representing your country. Pick your team. Bring your friends. Cheer loudly. And prepare to defend your national pride from the front row. 😂
