Najah Imani Muhammad (Host) Occasionally declared as a "Linguist of Love," Najah is an emerging theatre artist (with disciplines in acting and directing), educator, and future Talk Show Host, whose goal is to use the arts and love as a communicative tool to bring people together. Having conquered being the younger sister of four brothers, Najah understands the importance of having a strong voice,

confidence, and flair for the dramatic, and hopes to inspire others to empower themselves in this way as well. When she is not directing or performing, Najah can be found in the Digital Advertising World, working as a Business Development Associate for Organic, Inc., or lending her thoughts with her advice brand, “NajahKnows.” EDUCATION: BA in Theatre Education: Acting- Emerson College. Germono Toussaint (Keyboards) is a playwright, composer and producer. His plays include, My Brother’s Keeper, The Anointed (10-minute and full-length), No Ordinary Party and Caged (a musical). He is also one of the founding producers of The Fire This Time Festival. He has written and arranged music for several theater productions including Ritual (Stanely Bennet Clay), B-Boy Blues (James Earl Hardy), The Laramie Project (Cardinal Stritch University), Tripping: The Musical (Daniel Beaty), Breath and Imagination (Daniel Beaty), (L)imitations (Marcus Gardley), Hoodoo Love (Katori Hall), Hansel and Gretel (Common Thread Theater), Love’s Gonna Get You and Sistas The Musical. Toussaint was also the arranger/producer of such concerts as 2 Black Divas and A Band, Verve, Through The Ages and The Real Love Concert: Go Love Yourself. He is currently the music supervisor for the feature film King and the short film Shotgun. The Fire This Time Festival Playwright Kelley Nicole Girod founded the festival in 2009 to provide rising playwrights of African and African American descent a platform to write and develop new work. The festival was conceived as an opportunity for playwrights to write and produce material that reflects diverse perspectives as 21st century theater artists. With ongoing momentum, TFTT has quickly become a destination for diverse audiences, producers, and artists seeking new possibilities and opportunities in contemporary theater. The festival has previously featured the work of notable playwrights such as Katori Hall (The Mountaintop, Hurt Village), Dominique Morrisseau (Detroit ‘67), Marcus Gardley (The Box), Radha Blank (Seed) and Zoey Martinson (Ndebele Funeral).

The next The Fire This Time Festival is this Tues July 26 at The Kraine Theater (85 E. 4th St.) Najah Imani Muhammad hosts and Germono T. will be on the keys. Sign up is at 6:30 and Open Mic starts at 7pm! $5 will get you in the door, but there's no telling where your talent will take you!
