We are deeply saddened to inform you that we lost our dear friend and bartender Michael Pearce on Monday.
Mick will be deeply missed by all of us. We will have a celebration of his life on Monday February 7th at 5pm.
We also be planing an event for Mick in spring .

Mick’s daughter was everything to him, we are setting up a Gofundme account for her. We will keep everyone updated on this

Under the cover of CoVid darkness, the EAR Inn has been quietly creating an EAR Inn Out House. It will be a home for work from our local artists-in-residence - as well as a convivial space, once we reopen, to enjoy each other again.

And congratulations to our first Artist-in-Residence, the magnificent and witty, Catharina Cosin, who has already graced the walls of the "EAR Out" with a laughing Teddy Roosevelt - who tried unsuccessfully as far back as 1894 to close the EAR Inn - and her tribute to the Begger Baron Mack the Knife.

Hello All!! Thank you all for your continuing support and good wishes. While we are still unable to open because our diminutive size prohibits social distancing, our sister restaurant Walker's is finally up and operating as of today. Feel free to stop by 16 N. Moore & Varick and enjoy another of Manhattan's old iconic bars. And we'll keep you updated on when, hopefully, finally, safely the EAR can re-open!!
