Happy National Beer Day!

National Beer Day, April 7th, marks the day that the Cullen-Harrison Act was enacted, redefining what is known as an “intoxicating beverage” in the Volstead Act. The Volstead act stated that Beer could only contain 0.5% Alcohol By Volume, and the Cullen-Harrison Act changed that to 4.05%.

This lead to the repeal of the 18th amendment on December 5th, 1933, ending Prohibition completely.
