Hey all!

Please join me tonight between 6pm - 12am for a drink and/or food at my newly shareable project, Raw Material, at 131 Orchard. I have been quietly working with Chef/Owner Sandy Hall on redoing the interior, atmosphere, and concept, from the restaurant bar that was previously known as Black Tree to this new incarnation. The food is SO GOOD, the drinks are SO GOOD, and the vibe is nice nice nice. We have been focusing this concept around "resourcefully made food and design." Ethically and cleverly sourced materials make up the elements of our menu, interior, cocktails, and retail items. Oh yea, and there is a small retail section full of resourcefully made goods, small press books, LikeMindedObjects jewelry, LMO + Kokrobitey Institute collaborative bags, charcoal body products & detox’s by Other Original, Tarot Decks & Guidebooks by Small Spells, and more.

This will be an ever evolving project for me/us so I hope you make a habit of popping by, if not tonight then any other time we are open Wednesdays-Sundays!

Our big lil sister Black Tree BK is hosting our orphan Xmas tradition this year! We will be closed in the LES, but BK will be open and rocking around the Christmas Tree (yes, we can fit one in there!) all Xmas Eve & Xmas Day!

For National Sandwich Day Tuesday, Black Tree BK collabed with Eden Eats for the Eden Sandywich, ONLY at our BK spot! Our take on a Middle Eastern Croque Madame is full of Shawarma-braised turkey, cheddar, and pickled pumpkin, then topped with an aleppo fried egg, labaneh chimichurri and fresh herbs.
