New York Carolina Club The official page of the New York Carolina Club (NYCC). The NYCC is the New York City branch of the UNC General Alumni Association.

Our Game Watch bar is Slattery's Midtown Pub on 36th street between 5th and Madison Aves. The New York Carolina Club was founded as an extension of the UNC General Alumni Association to maintain connections between alumni and the University as well as to foster a sense of community among alumni in the greater New York area.

More than 50 Tar Heels are already signed up to join us for our Summer Kickoff Sunset Cruise 🩵🚢

If you haven’t snagged your tickets yet, this is your reminder to join the New York Carolina Club on June 25 from 7:30-9:00 P.M. Whether you just moved to NYC or you are an established local alum, there is no better way to connect with the local Carolina community than cruising past the Manhattan skyline at golden hour.

We are boarding a Circle Line cruise at Pier 16 for a 90-minute ride featuring open-air decks and stunning views. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on board. 🗽✨

Looking back at an incredible afternoon at The University Club for the 27th Annual Arts Brunch. 🥂🎨

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the profound impact of Tar Heels on the arts scene here in New York City and beyond.

A massive congratulations to our main honoree, filmmaker and photographer ’07, this year’s recipient of the John L. Haber Award. Hearing about Frank’s inspiring journey and work was a true highlight. We were also thrilled to spotlight the phenomenal ’18 as our Young Alumna honoree for her groundbreaking work with Alo Media.

Special thanks to the hilarious ’93 for keeping us laughing all afternoon as our emcee, to the brilliant , and to all of our wonderful speakers. We especially loved having and in the house to share updates from Chapel Hill!

Please join the New York Carolina Club as it hosts a free virtual event via Zoom with author Bill Fields (’81) in conversation with NBC sportscaster Terry Gannon about Bill’s memoir "A Quick Nine Before Dark: A Life in Golf" (Tatra Press).

Bill brings to life growing up during the 1960s and ’70s in the North Carolina Sandhills, where his early ties to golf were a springboard for a long career chronicling the sport.
Lauded by reviewers for its “beautifully crafted prose” and “insightful, descriptive storytelling,” the memoir is a vivid account of Bill’s journey from the Pinehurst area to his years at UNC to more than four decades as a fixture in golf media. Recipient of the 2020 PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism from the PGA of America, he continues to write about the game and is a contributing researcher for NBC Sports’ golf broadcasts.

Celebrate the best of Carolina arts in NYC! 🐏 🎥

Join us this Sunday, May 17, at The University Club for the 27th Annual Arts Brunch as we honor filmmaker, cinematographer, and photographer

From his early days producing Survivor to his celebrated photography in Interview Magazine and his 2025 Tribeca Festival premieres, Frank’s work beautifully explores identity and culture with heart and a sense of mischief. We are thrilled to present him with the John L. Haber Award for his outstanding contributions to the arts.

We’re also proud to spotlight our Young Alumna honoree, ’18, founder and CEO of Alo Media and the force behind the Amazon Prime series The Envoy.
