In 1991, two New York born Irish Catholic brothers graduated from college and decided to dream big and as a result, they opened a little bar in Manhattan called THIRD and LONG. When the bar opened, it became an instant hit in Murray Hill. Over the course of the past 22 years it has made its presence felt in the ever-changing neighborhood and now sits as the elder-statesman of the 3rd Avenue strip.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to get an extension on the lease, so we had no choice but to end our run in June, 2013. So while we're sad to no longer be able to serve our patrons, we're proud of the run we had, thanks to you! It has the feel of a neighborhood joint in the heart of the Big Apple. Come watch your favorite sport on one of our many High Definition televisions, and enjoy our huge selection of beers from around the globe.
