Inside the library at Belton House, a 17th Century Carolean English country house in Lincolnshire.

I spent 10 days last month touring houses throughout this region of the UK with - my BFF of over 20 years who also happens to be finishing up her masters degree in building history at Cambridge, and ALSO runs the IG account for - so I was in perfect company and learned A LOT!

I’m going to post trip highlights over the next few weeks to share the amazing beauty. It’s impossible to fully comprehend what treasures these houses are - each with its own soul and unique flavor. Stay tuned!

In my opinion this is one of the (many) best photos from my apartment shoot with and Mieke ten Have]. It wasn’t featured in the article, but I love it so because the focus is on my favorite spot in the whole place. This intimate corner is the first place anyone sits in the living room. A perfect little spot for two to six friends to solve all the world’s problems.
