Is there more perfect summer noodles than Hiyashi Chuka?
For many in Japan, the arrival of summer is indirectly informed by a flag that says 「冷やし中華はじめました」which means “We now offer Hiyashi Chuka for the year.”
Hiyashi Chuka is a traditional Japanese cold noodle dish that a lot of places offer only during summer. It holds almost a sentimental feeling for us when we see that flag on a street waving in the hot breeze.
Summer is here. We prepared this dish in the most traditional, original way as possible. Come have some Hiyashi Chuka at Tonchin that will make you feel like you’re transported back to that one summer day in Japan.
