On December the 12th, 2003 the World Famous Blue Jays took their final bow as a band on the stage of the Lakeside Lounge. L to R Jay Sherman-Godfrey, Dan Prater, Jeremy Tepper, Doug Wygal, Camp Childers and a sax player Jeremy met on the street on the way to the gig. We are terribly sad that Jeremy lost his life on Friday June 14th. We were always happier when we saw Jeremy cross our threshold and overjoyed when he took the stage. We send our condolences to Jeremy's wife Laura Cantrell, daughter Bella and all of Jeremy's friends and family.

I know none of you Lakeside fans would be caught dead in a tacky sports bar so we wanted to give you the heads up in case you just happened to be in East Nashville and "Lakeside Lounge" popped up on your phone. Yes, some guys from NYC went down there and took over an un-funky, non-honkey tonk in the new commercialized East Nashville and named it the Lakeside Lounge. But please, don't be fooled. It's just another tacky sports bar and it has nothing to do with what we all enjoyed on Avenue B.
