Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Les Paul.

Born on June 9, 1915, Les Paul wasn’t just one of the greatest guitarists of all time... he changed music forever. An inventor, innovator, and visionary, he pioneered multitrack recording, overdubbing, sound-on-sound recording, and helped create one of the most iconic instruments in history: the Gibson Les Paul guitar.

His groundbreaking ideas transformed the way music is recorded and heard, shaping generations of artists across every genre.

For more than two decades, Les called Iridium home, performing his legendary Monday night residency and inspiring musicians and fans from around the world. His spirit, creativity, and passion remain woven into the fabric of this club every single day.

As we announce this year’s Les Paul Guitar Giveaway winner today, we also take a moment to honor the man who made it all possible.

Happy Birthday, Les! Your music, your inventions, and your legacy continue to inspire us all.
