Giving Tuesday seems like a good day
to properly introduce ShelterSongs.org.
It’s a project that was inspired by the
work i’d been doing with the incredible organization, songwritingwithsoldiers.org.
Since 2017, i’ve collaborated with over sixty five women
currently residing in area shelters to write some 50+ songs.
Shelter Songs currently serves the residents of the Park Slope Women’s Shelter, Broadway House & Women’s Care. In the coming months we plan to expand the program to other area shelters (there is already a waiting list)
and to enlist the talents of some of NY’s finest songwriters.
