NEW EVENT SPACE & SPECIAL GIVEAWAY PROMOTION!!

Hey friends! We are excited to announce that COFFEED's flagship location in Long Island City (37-18 Northern Blvd. in Queens) now has a beautiful event space available for rent! Equipped with a coffee bar (of course!), beer/wine license, A/V system (including a projector), and much more, we'd love to host your next birthday party, fundraiser, coffee tasting, or other important event. To celebrate, we are also announcing a special promotion!! We will happily waive the event space rental fee ($400+) for 4 lucky parties - 2 non-profits and 2 other entrants. ON Friday, November 15 QUM will be featuring John Zervoulakos as our pop-up guest!


Next week we will be hosting Queens Pit-Master and Chef of Hellgate also known as Astoria Ale House, John Zervoulakos.

Born in Astoria, Queens, John is proud to bring his passion to a place that he has always called home. Joh, values the importance of giving back to a community that holds responsible for shaping the person he is today.

Being of Greek and Italian descent, cooking has always played a role in his family's traditions, which is where his passion is rooted. When he was 22 he bought a pit and began cooking in his backyard. A few years later he began working at the newly opened John Brown Smokehouse, and was soon after promoted to Chef De Cuisine. John also helped them win the King of Brisket competition in 2012.

Following his time at John Brown's, John became the Executuibe Chef of The Strand Smokehouse in Astoria.

Today, he runs the kitchen at Astoria Ale House.

For John: "Barbeque runs through my veins, and cooking is my passion. My goal is to bring my style of Barbeque to people, and to help put NYC Barbecue on the map along with my peers."
