The popular Let's Zydeco shows are friendly community events, set up for dancing, socializing, listening or just watching. You don't need to come with a dance partner to dance or to have a great time. Advance tickets are not needed —> just pay at the door, everyone will get in. A complimentary dance lesson is provided prior to the music for those interested in learning the basic Cajun and Zydeco dance steps. ABOUT:

🌟 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: RUBEN MORENO & ZYDECO RE-EVOLUTION 🌟

From the age of just 7 years old, Ruben Moreno’s musical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. What started with the rhythmic sounds of a washboard quickly blossomed into a passion that would make him one of the most exciting and innovative artists in Zydeco today.

By age 10, Ruben was already performing at Austin’s legendary Continental Club alongside Leroy Thomas & the Zydeco Roadrunners. Under the mentorship of Zydeco icons Leroy Thomas, C.J. Chenier, and Andre Thierry, he became the youngest member of C.J. Chenier’s Red-Hot Louisiana Band and began carving out his own remarkable path.

Ruben’s music is where tradition meets innovation. He masterfully blends Zydeco with blues, Chicano influences, and hip-hop, creating a sound that is uniquely his own. From his acclaimed debut album Por Ti Volare to collaborations with Khruangbin, Leon Bridges, and Baby Bash, Ruben continues to push musical boundaries while staying deeply rooted in Zydeco’s rich heritage.

His latest releases are making waves, with At the Trailride: Live at Stubb’s surpassing 175K streams and The Recipe (This Heart) earning more than 1 million streams and climbing.

Whether performing at the New Orleans Jazz Fest or captivating crowds of over 70,000 at Austin City Limits Festival, Ruben Moreno delivers performances filled with energy, soul, and passion.
