Dear friends of Session 73.
Right now, business insurance is not available to restaurants that have been forced from the current crisis. The current provisions that cover disasters only address physical damages such as floods, fire, theft. They do not, however, cover viruses or pandemics.
Introduced by Robert Carroll of NY's 44th District, a NY State assembly bill called A.10226 would extend the current provisions in order to cover the losses resulting from COVID-19. Passage of this bill would be a major win for restaurants (and other small businesses) throughout our state.
Can you do us a big favor and go to https://bit.ly/39O8YZd and vote “AYE” on the bill to get it passed? It would mean the world to us.
Thank you and stay safe
