Vineyard Paiagallo, in the municipality of Barolo, is located on a medium hill (320-370 m asl) with east exposure, it has a Miocene-Tortonian soil, rich in limestone and potassium oxide, phosphorus and copper, with good permeability.

Barolo “Paiagallo” brings out the characteristics of the wines of the municipality of Barolo: evident aromas, good acidity, balanced tannins, and right structure.

Ruby-red with garnet highlights, it has a sumptuous bouquet, with clear-cut overtones of ripe plums, to***co, mint, rosemary, cinnamon and dried mushrooms. Very dense, closely-woven tannins give the taste a well-knit sensation, together with softness and balance.

Casa E. di Mirafiore Barolo Lazzarito, is without doubt the most prestigious vineyard on the estate, producing a Barolo of great structure and long life. Located mid-hillside (350-400m asl) facing south /south-west, the soil is of sedimentary marine origin (Miocene-Helvetian era), with a high content of greyish-white calcareous marl.
Ruby-red with garnet highlights, it has a sumptuous bouquet, with clear-cut overtones of ripe plums, to***co, mint, rosemary, cinnamon and dried mushrooms. Very dense, closely-woven tannins give the taste a well-knit sensation, together with softness and balance.

For legend dictates that the walnut husks used to make Nocino need to be picked on June 24th, the day of San Giovanni. They choose to abide by the legend and follow the same tradition. DCF starts the process of creating Nocino each year with hand harvested green walnuts. A semi-sweet liqueur with aromas of green walnuts, baking spices, vanilla and ripe berries, with a long and rich finish.

Spritzes are meant to be enjoyed year round, here is a great recipe for a refreshing version by the bartenders at

Campiello Spritz
1 ounces 6 p.m. liqueur
1 ounces Rosso Vermouth de Torino
3 ounces prosecco
1 Castelvetrano olive
1 orange swath or slice
Add Montanaro 6 p.m. liqueur, sweet vermouth and prosecco to an empty wine glass. Add one scoop of ice so the glass is about three quarters full and stir briefly with a bar spoon to combine all ingredients. Garnish with a twisted orange swath and Castelvetrano olive on top of the ice.
