Five years of Bomba at BarrioBX! ❤️‍🔥🥁

On Thursday, September 17, we celebrated a beautiful milestone: five years of gathering every month, without fail—or, as Wilson jokingly reminded us, “with perfect attendance!”

It was another electrifying evening honoring the drum, our ancestors, and the legacy we carry forward.

For five years, we’ve remained committed to celebrating and uplifting Bomba, honoring its legacy, and creating a home for the Bomba community.

We are deeply grateful and humbled that the Bomba community across the diaspora considers BarrioBX a home here in NYC. That trust means everything to us, and we remain committed to holding this space with love, respect, and intention.

This space belongs to community—and community is what keeps it alive.

Five years strong. Y seguimos…

SIX YEARS OF BARRIOBX! 🎉🔥

On Sunday, Sept. 6, we celebrated 6 incredible years with an all-day party — and our Familia SHOWED UP! ❤️

Our DJ All-Stars kept the energy lit from start to finish, while our Day Ones celebrated alongside guests experiencing BarrioBX for the very first time.

Six years ago, we opened our doors smack in the middle of a global pandemic. We had no idea what the road ahead would look like — but one thing became clear: commUNITY would carry us through.

Every visit. Every celebration. Every word of encouragement. Every person who told a friend, came back, and continued to believe in what we were building.

We’re still here because of YOU. 🙏🏽❤️

For that, we’ll forever be grateful.

Six years down, AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! ☺️🙏🏼🙌🏼✊🏼
