I love her mindset, they’re not coming to change the culture, the culture will be celebrated, enhanced, built upon and on full display for the works to see!!

Many people know me from my work in public relations, politics, in the world of faith etc. But one of my greatest passions is the nonprofit I founded with my sister Daphney Young more than 25 years ago,

Our Summer Reading Program kicked off this week, and seeing these girls curled up with books, writing in their journals, and sharing what they’re learning fills my heart with joy.🥲 🥹

Today I’m sharing our first “Reader of the Day” interview. Their excitement for reading reminds me why this work matters.

Not every day makes sense…but on this one, let the record reflect, that I’m on the right side of history unlike the in Louisiana!

I’m not sad or angry. I’m motivated! I’m more determined! I’m prayerful! I’m in my Esther mode (read up on her in the Bible).

I couldn’t fully enjoy the Morial Awards because we received word about the passing of Senate Bill 121 in the Louisiana House and Governmental Affairs Committee tonight. So I had to post up in the lobby of the convention center, draft a statement, get it approved, work with Emily to get it distributed to local media, while pitched nationals.
