A special beer dedicated to our familyโ€™s Bavarian roots. An OG Parleaux favorite thats clean, crisp, refreshing, and perfect for warm NOLA evenings. Using a special German pilsner malt from Bamberg for a clean, mild sweet cracker profile, straw in color, with a traditional pilsner hop snap. German Hallertauer Mittelfrรผh hops shine lending the beer a delicate floral/herbal aroma with a crisp satisfying finish. Fermented low and slow with a unique Bavarian lager yeast, and lagered beyond patience . Naturally carbonated for the tiny bubble fanatics.

Collaboration with Abita Brewing Company and Mitch Steele

Yโ€™all, Louisiana gained a legendary mind in the beer industry recently when Mitch Steele joined the team at Abita this spring. Mitch has been a leading innovator, talented author, and one of the most respected people in the craft beer industry. So when Dan Stein called us both up and said we should make a beer togetherโ€ฆ well we did the damn thang.

What did we come up with? A little blend of new and contemporary while honoring the old โ€œOGโ€. A hazy hoppy pale ale called, โ€œNOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THE TERMITESโ€. We called up Crosby Hops hops and they sent us a couple special lots of their estate grown cascade and a late season harvest cascade called โ€œdeep cut.โ€ After pairing these hops with Simcoe and Amarillo the beer finished with huge ripened orange, mandarin, and grapefruit balanced with a pithy citrus bitterness on the finish.

We are beyond honored to have been able to brew with Mitch and his awesome team at Abita. We are excited to welcome him to Louisiana, and to see his vision and influence combine forces with such an iconic craft beer brand.

A beer built for the South Louisiana summer. A light American lager brewed with 70% Indiana grown pilsner malt from Sugar Creek Malt Co. and 30% malted heirloom Carolina gold riceโ€ฆ the grandfather of long grain rice in the Americas. Fermented slow and low with our favorite Czech lager yeast, and lagered beyond patience. Easy on the eyes this pours a crystal clear pale golden, exceptional aroma of faint nutty almond, and drinks with a satisfying ease. Our choice in the cooler for floating down the Bogue Chitto. Release Friday on draft and in 16oz cans to-go.
